Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer, McDonald's
Jenny leads strategy coordination across McDonald’s global CSR & sustainability efforts, collaborating with partners across the company to advance the brand’s values of responsible leadership. In practice, this means working with teams including global Sustainability, Supply Chain, Marketing, Corporate Relations, People, Restaurant Solutions, IR, Legal and Finance to align and track progress against McDonald’s social and environmental impact strategies.
Jenny is passionate about increasing engagement and visibility into McDonald’s sustainability efforts to inspire customers, employees, franchisees and suppliers, and to lead meaningful change and long-term resilience across the food industry. She supports communications efforts to bring these efforts to life both internally and externally, such as through the 2017 Beef Sustainability Report that outlines McDonald’s vision to help lead a global movement in beef sustainability, McDonald’s recent announcements on Packaging and Recycling commitments for 2025, and sustainability content integration across McDonald’s corporate website. She also co-leads McDonald’s ESG reporting and engagement strategy with shareholders.
Jenny serves on the Advisory Board for the First Mover Fellows with the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program. She was formerly the Education Director at Salish Sea Expeditions, an inquiry-based science and sailing education program in the Seattle area, and is a strong advocate for STEM education and building future generations of critical thinkers. She has engaged as a community college scholar career coach through One Million Degrees in Chicago and on the Advisory Board for Northern Illinois University’s Center for Social Entrepreneurship. Jenny has a BS/MS in Earth Systems from Stanford University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
