Statement in Response to the Biden Administration’s U.S. Nationally
Determined Contribution (NDC) Goal Announcement

Presidents and chancellors in higher education have long been championing the importance of
aggressive climate action in our nation, and taking responsibility for setting institutional targets far exceeding the minimum required of us. We applaud the Biden administration in setting a national target in line with what the science says is necessary, and consistent with what many of us have been calling for.
